
Admission Requirements
In order to be admitted to the MSQA program, a student must:
Complete an admissions application and pay the $20 application processing fee. This can be done online at http://www.applyweb.com/apply/spsu/.
Meet the undergraduate GPA requirement of a minimum of 2.7/4.0
Request official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. These official transcripts should be mailed directly from the university to our Graduate Admissions Office. International students whose transcripts are not in English must have their degree credentials evaluated by an outside source such as the World Education Service.
Submit at least three reference forms from former college professors, employers, or other people who are familiar with your abilities. Have references mail these forms to the MSQA Department to the attention of the Graduate Coordinator.
Compose a statement of purpose in pursuing an MSQA degree at Southern Poly.
For the Engineering and Technology concentration , students must have an undergraduate degree in engineering or science. In addition, these students must have at least two years of full time work experience.
Complete the Certificate of Immunization and return it to the Admissions Office. Note: If you will be a distance student you must still submit a Certificate of Immunization and sign at the bottom of the form declaring that you will not be taking classes on campus.
Meet minimum language requirements. Students whose native tongue is not English must submit TOEFL scores. For all international students, graduate and undergraduate, a minimum TOEFL score of 213 on the computer version or 550 on the paper version is required for admission to SPSU. This requirement also applies to certificate and non-degree seeking students. If necessary, a financial affidavit indicating financial security should also be submitted to the Admissions Office.
