This concentration meets the needs of the professional who has not received a formal technical education in quality, yet must support total quality, continuous improvement, process management, and re-engineering efforts within his or her organization. The program focuses on total quality management and analytical techniques. Prospective students with undergraduate degrees in business, social science, education, or other non-technical majors will find this concentration right for them.

Curriculum

For a qualified student the program requires 33 semester hours of study. The curriculum includes graduate course work in Total Quality, Process Analysis, Technical Training, Quality Systems Design, Quality Cost Systems, and Statistical Process Control.

For those entering students with little mathematical background, we also offer QA5000, an on-line prep class that reviews math and basic statistical concepts, and introduces analysis using Excel and Minitab. This class prepares students to succeed in their graduate-level statistics sequence.

* Electives from other Graduate programs may be used with MSQA Program with Coordinator's approval

** QA 7503 course must be taken by attending two full-day symposia on-campus. The student registers for this course once and will receive credit for the course after successfully completing the second on-campus symposium.
